Cherry Blossoms!

*EDIT*
By the way, I'm thinking about making the switch to Blogger.  I think it's going to be better.  Check it out and I'd appreciate it if you let me know what you think!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had a fun family outing seeing the cherry blossoms in D.C.!  We missed the peak weekend which was last weekend but we didn't even get to go down last year so we were glad!  It was still beautiful and the Lord blessed us with good weather...and a parking spot right away.  The other amazing thing was our little boy slept the whole time in the stroller!  We didnt' get to take a picture with him with cherry blossoms but it's ok. He's a boy.

After walking around for a while we came back to Hains Point where we parked and had a picnic with our girly while our boy was still sleeping.  It was so fun to be in the sun with a nice breeze after being cooped up all winter long!

Here are some pics of the day and rest on flickr.

This is her 'I'll turn my face toward the camera but I won't open my eyes!' look.

Here he is sleeping.  I had to get a shot of him just for the record!

And my lovely girlies!  Haha!  My wife might have me take this photo down but it's just too funny!

Ok, here's my hot mama!

little ballerina

Our little girly did such a great job at her first ballet class today! She was so excited this morning to go and once the class began she listened to her teacher and followed all the instructions so well.  We were so proud of her!  Here are some pics and the rest on flickr.

just rambling

*Bat Mitzvahs

My wife and I got to go to our first Bat Mitzvahs on Saturday!  We were invited by one of my wife's former 3rd grade student and we were so honored.  Who invites a former teacher to a birthday party?  Well, if I had a teacher like my wife, I would have too!  But it's really sweet because the student happens to be deaf and even though my wife was her classroom teacher the fact that the wifey knew sign language made them closer.

We enjoyed being part of the ceremony and we're glad we got to experience it.  I don't know exactly why but someone gave me a yarmulka(i looked it up and this is how it's spelled) to wear.  Have you ever seen an Korean wear a yarmulka? If you haven't, I'm sorry. I didn't get a picture of it.

The fun part was the party.  Because all her friends were deaf, the dj played the music extra loud with the bass bumping!  And her parents hired this group called the Wild Zappers and they were dancing to their choreographed moves.  They were really good so we were enjoying them and I told my wife, "Can I hire them for my birthday too?"

Then we noticed they were signing too!  Not singing, signing!  We found out that they are deaf too and they are doing what they do for a purpose.  So check out their website.

We also got to do one of those Jewish traditional dances where they lift up people while they are sitting on chair and everyone else daces around them in a circle.  It was fun!
Sorry again, I didn't take any pictures that night.

*Ballet Class

Ok, so since our little girly is in love with pretending to be a ballerina, we signed her up for a class.  Tomorrow morning is the first class, and she said, "I can't wait!"  So stay tuned for pics!

*March Madness

I'm not sure how long I'll stay #1 but just for the record I'm currently leading the CLC staff pool!  WooHoo!  I'll enjoy it while I can.  But unfortunately 2nd place in our family pool with the same picks.  My bro is ahead of me and he'll probably win it.
